Time flies. It really does. I was drafting an email earlier to some friends that I haven’t checked in on since, oh last November I believe. So much has happened with them since then and then I begin to think about all that has gone on here since then. It’s mind boggling and really makes you want to just slow down. One of these days soon we will, I can guarantee you that!
Someone asked me the other day, “What’s the status on the boat?” I happily responded with the answer. Happily because based on our calculations we are getting close enough to know when. Yes, we’ve delayed it by another year but given the current real estate market we aren’t in too much of a hurry. That and the fact that we really like where the boys are at in regards to their school. We love their teachers and the culture at the school. All of that combined make it easy to delay things a bit. It also seems easy because now we know in our hearts that it is just that, a delay. Not a, “We’re going to put it off because we know it will never happen” delay.
I still go back and forth regarding the boat. I mean we have narrowed it down to a few different models/lengths. But we seem to be wishy washy when it comes to some of them. One because smaller is cheaper. Cheaper means that we can go sooner and stay out longer. But, it also means that we have to adjust our way of thinking regarding certain aspects. Yeah there’s always the lottery. Tricky part about the lottery…you have to buy tickets to win. Which is not something that I am that good at doing.
Back to time flying by. It’s May already and here we are less than 30 days until the kids are out for summer. It seems like it was just yesterday we were prepping new clothes and school supplies then it was Christmas and now, summer. Where has it all gone? So much has truly happened in our lives since last fall but it all has happened at what seems to be light speed. I really hope that I don’t feel this way out on the water, that would really make me sad to know that it has all passed by in an instant!
